I'm using Passive Stereo-3D equipment. No More Shutter glasses. No More Headaches!!
Stereo-3D Recording Set

Due to a high demand I've constructed a compact Mobile Recording set.
It's a combination of a 8U 19" case (FC08U) and a 12U 19" case (FC12U) with wheels.
At this moment it can record 2 Full HD stream, directly on Harddisk.
Both streams are full HD Dual link stereo 3D stream!!!
It includes SDI, HDMI 1.4a, analog component, analog and AES/EBU audio
and more. Now you can capture and play back from virtually any video and
audio device, even in 3D! It also includes the latest technology for
advanced full resolution 3D editing, including dual stream SDI capture
and playback plus built in HDMI 1.4a! Perfect for post production,
broadcast and even feature film work, The system switches between SD and
HD, and has built in 3 Gb/s SDI, 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 RGB, native 12 bit and
frame rates right up to 1080p60! It also features built in up, down and
cross conversion.
The advantage of recording on-site is that you gain alot of time in
Post-Production and you don't need to hire a HD-Cam (SR) or XDcam or P2
player for digitizing/Importing files.
When the show or transmission is done, you walk home with a HardDisk full and you can start editing right away.
The ProRes files can be edited directly with the latest version of Final Cut Pro or with Avid MediaComposer v5.5.
The Video Input must be SD/HD-SDI or SD/HD YUV, the 8 Audio Inputs are analogue.
All kind of Audio & Video devices are aboard:
1x SD/HD-YUV-2-SDI
1x SD/HD-SDI-2-Composite (is always the general Video Input, with synced audio)
1x SD/HD-SDI-2-YUV (is always the general Video Input, with synced audio)
1x Audio Embedder (8CH XLR on patch)
1x Audio De-Embedder (SD/HD-SDI in & loop on BNC * Audio = 4 CH XLR out on patch)
1x in - 10x out Composite AV distributor (Video = BNC out * Audio = cinch out)
2x SD/HD-SDI distributor (all synced audio embedded and reclocked) with 6 free/available Outputs on patch
1x ballanced audio-2-unballanced audio convertor (XLR in - cinch out)
1x unballanced audio-2-ballanced audio convertor (cinch in - XLR out)
CH1&CH2 are distributed and 3x available (in stereo) on the patch
2x DVD recorders (pre-configured for the general Video Input, with synced audio, but other inputs are possible)
1x DBmax for configuring Audio CH1 & CH2 with Broadcast levels/delay/etc...
1x Focusrite ISA428 Amplifier, for leveling all 8 CH Inputs
1x VariTime Digital Sync Generator for video
1x Fostex for monitoring audio
1x SD/HD-SDI-2-HDMI convertor for previewing any signal
Mac Based system running MacOSX 10.6.8
1x Full HD computer screen
1x Full 3D HD screen for Stereo3D productions (is also the second computer monitor)
1x Full HD TFT Video Screen with all possible Inputs to be able te check any source.
All can be connected at the same time!
1x Avid Keyboard & 1x Final Cut Keyboard for the easy of use ;-)
2x 4-pins 13.8V outputs (for Camera or other Prof. equipment), 1x
Analogue video-firewire convertor, 1x HDMI extender on UTP (30m in full
HD), Network Hub (10/100), WiFi Router with Gigabite connection
Other recording equipment can be attached as backup, safety, archive, etc...

I still have a BetacamSP PVW-2800 Recorder (S & L tapes) and a BetacamSX LapTop Recorder (S tapes only)
--> This Recording Set can ONLY be hired with myself as operator included.
Stereo-3D Post Production
At this moment I've made alot of progress with Final Cut Pro 7 and Avid Media Composer 6
Workflow has almost become ideal !!! Avid, work on a 100% Cineform codec support!!!
In the meanwhile I'm doing all kind of tests and trying different worklows to find the best solution for a seamless integration. Both on PC & Mac.
My goal is to a chief a dual, full HD resolution workflow without any stuttering while doing a play out or while editing, without additional renderings!!!
